However, you should check with the Tanzanian High Commission in your home country before you travel. Private air charters are available through Coastal Aviation, ZanAir and Tanzanair. money: Travellers' cheques are difficult to cash in Tanzania, so we suggest you bring US$ in $100 or $50 bills; many businesses accept $ payments. It is possible to get cash from ATMs using debit/credit cards (visa is best), but this is easier in Dar es Salaam than Mtwara.
